What kind of AI does Aniimo use?

  • Is Aniimo entirely AI-made? The reviewed sources do not support that claim. The team describes the creatures, stories and world as its creative work, without disclosing every production process.
  • Are the art or recorded voices AI-generated? The reviewed sources do not provide a complete disclosure for either category. They establish neither universal AI use nor its complete absence.
  • What happened with the advertisements? The team says the disputed ads were removed or disabled and their production does not represent how the game is made.
  • Can I use ACE voice interaction now? NVIDIA announced it for early 2027, after launch. It is a planned feature, not a launch setting.
  • Do DLSS or companion behaviors prove AI-made assets? No. Graphics processing and game-controlled behavior do not establish how artwork or recorded voices were produced.

What about AI art, voices, music and advertisements?

Artwork: the Aniimo team says the creatures, stories and world come from the imagination of the people at Pawprint. This describes creative responsibility, but is not an asset-by-asset disclosure of production tools. It does not establish that every artwork was made without AI assistance.

Recorded voices: the reviewed statements do not give a complete account of how recorded dialogue or voices were produced. Future ACE voice interaction is a separate feature and does not answer whether existing recordings used generative AI.

Music: the linked official statements do not give a soundtrack-specific production disclosure. Neither DLSS nor the announced ACE companion feature establishes how the music was made.

Advertisements: the team says the disputed ads were removed from its channels or disabled, although some copies could remain visible because of technical limitations. It says the way those ads were produced does not represent how it is making the game. That statement should not be expanded into a guarantee about every asset category.

What will the ACE companion feature let you do?

The August 26 announcement describes four ways you’ll be able to interact with companions once ACE arrives:

  • Chat with companions using natural language.
  • Teach companions new skills through interaction.
  • Ask companions to gather resources using voice input.
  • See companions respond with dynamic emotions to player actions.

ACE is planned for early 2027. The announcements give no exact release date, and the feature cannot be enabled in the launch version.

What did the demonstration actually show?

GamesBeat reports seeing players give spoken instructions to companions at Gamescom. The companions carried out tasks while the player did something else, showing how voice requests could replace menu selections.

The demo leaves some practical questions unanswered: which commands and creatures will be supported, and where in the world you’ll be able to use them. The finished feature may differ from the preview.

What can you do with companions at launch?

The September 3 developer letter lists Home improvements for the launch version: new idle behaviors, improved work logic and a petting interaction. It also lists AI teammate support for Holo-Battle Interlink. These are separate announcements from ACE; seeing an Aniimo work, react or help in battle does not mean voice interaction is enabled.

You can start catching, Twining, exploring and spending time at Home before ACE arrives. Explore the beginner guide for the basics or the Homeland guide for activities with your companions.

Hardware, platforms and voice: what is known?

NVIDIA says a fine-tuned Nemotron small language model will run on your GPU to interpret requests and trigger game actions. It has not provided an Aniimo ACE compatibility list in these announcements. Being able to run the base game or use DLSS does not confirm that your PC will support ACE.

  • Which GPU do I need? The linked Aniimo announcements do not name a minimum GPU or VRAM requirement for ACE. Avoid buying hardware specifically for it until those requirements are published.
  • Will it work on console or mobile? The game’s platform availability does not confirm ACE support on each device. These announcements do not provide a platform-by-platform rollout.
  • Which languages and inputs are supported? Voice input is announced, but supported spoken languages, microphone setup and a keyboard-only alternative are not detailed. Do not assume the game’s interface languages are also ACE voice languages.
  • Can I turn it off, and does it cost extra? An opt-out setting and any separate charge have not been specified in these announcements. The base game being free to play does not settle the future feature’s terms.
  • Does local processing mean offline or private voice chat? Running the language model locally does not describe the entire audio pipeline. It does not establish offline play, recording retention or whether any voice data leaves your device.
